Dear
workers,
Typically
French cheese, although exported or copied worldwide, Camembert is a must on
any cheese platter worthy of the name.
However,
you may as well revisit this classic to turn it into a main dish. Nothing more
simple, as Reblochon or Mont d'Or, simply melt it the oven and add some
ingredients to make the magic happen!
This dish
is very simple and very quick to make and is perfect for the active lifestyle,
but also for a small dinner with friends for example.
Ingredients
(for 2 people)
- 1
Camembert (type or Rustic ® President ®)
- 1 shallot
or small onion
- 3 cl. dry
white wine
- Freshly
ground black pepper
- Your
choice of bread (baguette countryside poilâne ...)
Preheat
oven to 200 °. Cut the Camembert into two (to form and and bottom half), leave
the bottom in the box (if it is made of wood) and place in a baking dish.
Cut the
onion into very thin slices and arrange them on the half in the box. Pour
half of the wine on the Camembert and
the other half in the dish so that the wine soaks the box. Pepper and place the
top half to reform the cheese.
Bake about
20 minutes allowing the cheese to melt, the crust must begin to brown and
melted Camembert start flowing outside the box.
During
cooking, prepare the bread blotters. You can add butter according to your taste,
rub with garlic or add ham (preferably raw).
This dish
goes well with a green salad. You can also let your imagination loose, for
example, a small salad with parsley and fried bacon and vinaigrette with apple
cider vinegar!
See you
soon
Tres bon ca monsieur!
